Stephen Orriss is a corporate finance partner with over 25 years’ experience providing strategic mergers and acquisition advice to the shareholders of owner managed businesses and management teams, as well as debt and equity fund raising.
A long-standing career has seen Stephen work with businesses across a broad range of sectors and industries, giving him valuable insight into the dealmaking landscape – an advantage he brings to his clients. His specialisms include mergers, acquisitions, disposals, corporate transactions, management buy-outs and buy-ins, entrepreneurial businesses and fundraising.
Passionate about building trust and rapport, Stephen very much sees himself as in it together with his clients. He recognises the challenge and emotion that comes with selling a business, which has been a central part of the owner’s life. As well as Stephen’s pragmatic approach and commercial awareness, clients appreciate how well his transactional knowledge complements their business knowledge to make for a seamless experience.
A member of the ICAEW’s CF Faculty, Stephen’s expertise in M&A has led him to speak on the subject of ‘Selling Your Business’, business valuation, fundraising and completion mechanics, and he has also presented internationally. He has previously been named ‘Dealmaker of the Year’ at the Insider Dealmakers Awards as well as winning ‘Deal of the Year’.
